When we look at the life of Jesus we see that he was in the middle of Community and he spent the majority of his time helping others. Below are some ideas that allow churches or individuals to connect with their communities.

Sports Chaplaincy Australia is the national umbrella sports network for chaplains serving clubs and communities around Australia in sporting codes like football, cricket, netball, AFL, V8 Supercars, NRL and many other sports. We work alongside leagues, sports institutes and governing bodies like the AIS, CAMS and the ASP.
Whilst every chaplain works under the care of their local church the SCA network provides best practice training, compliance, suitability and peer support. To achieve this we look to work closely with our sports community and local churches to provide the very best pastoral care personnel for our clubs.
So why get involved?
There is a geniune desire for local sport teams to have a chaplain associated with their club. Thus a church can have people in their church trained by SCA as a chaplain to alow them to serve the local community in a local sports team.
What does it involve?
Generally a chaplain attends training and game day. They are there to be a listening ear and help the parents and kids in the club where they can. What a great ministry.
So how does CAP work for the Church? CAP partners with churches and trains people so they can help others to learn to budget.
The CAP Money Course is a DVD based course that will help you teach others:
1. How to build a budget. This is the cornerstone of managing your money well. The session includes advice on how to increase your income and how to cut costs.
2. The CAP Money system. This system will help to simplify your money and make it understandable. It operates using three accounts for your money: a regular payments account, a cash account and a savings account.
3. To use cash instead of cards. Living on cash and getting away from cards means you know exactly where you are and helps you to spend less money.
Doing the CAP Money Course means you will be able to budget, save and spend on the things you want.
